Banksy painted a sneezing rat in a London Underground car. Employees erased the graffiti

This is a call for passengers to wear masks.

Street artist Banksy shared a new work on Instagram. He posted a video showing how he paints graffiti in a London Underground.

Banksy portrayed his signature rats. One of them sneezes, the second one flies on a protective mask, like a parachute. The network believes that new graffiti – If You Don’t Mask, You Don’t Get – warn citizens and remind that protective masks should be worn (and this must be done correctly).

How he managed to get into the subway and draw graffiti in one of the cars, Banksy showed in the published video on Instagram. The video contains a fragment of the song Tubthumping of the British rock band Chumbawamba. The line I get knocked down, but I get up again from this track, he remade it into I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Apparently, Banksy went down the subway just before it closed when there were very few passengers in the cars. He was wearing overalls and with a cylinder of paint disguised as a disinfectant. Obviously, everyone decided Banksy was disinfecting the carriage. Subway passengers who were watching what was happening did not quite understand what was happening.

London’s public transportation company (TfL) said Banksy’s graffiti has already been removed, but they don’t mind drawing new ones – this time in a more suitable place. It is reported by the BBC.

This is not Banksy’s first work on the coronavirus pandemic. In April, he painted rats messing up in his bathroom and signed the work: My wife hates it when I work from home. Rodents crush toothpaste, squinted a mirror, unwound a roll of toilet paper, and spilled liquid soap on the floor. The work turned out in the form of a certain installation. In it, rats interact with objects.

And in May, he portrayed a boy with a nurse doll in a Superman pose in a hospital in Southampton. He left a note to the employees with the words: Thank you for everything you do. I hope the picture will illuminate this place a little, even if it is black and white.
