The artist Malgorzata Szczecinska modestly calls himself just an amateur. However, the watercolors of a talented Polish self-taught artist have won many hearts and found a place in the collections of art lovers from different countries. Treating painting as a hobby, she continuously honors her skills without thinking about commercial success. Malgorzata paints watercolors to capture the beauty of nature – and activity to which she is able to devote whole days. She depicts leaves and herbs, color and light with trembling tenderness, believing that the main thing in life is to do what she loves.

Nature in Malgorzata’s paintings appears airy and fragile. It is as if the artist reminds us that the root of the word “watercolor” means “water”. A myriad of dew droplets wrapped in translucent flowers – cornflowers, dandelions, poppies, lavender, apple blossom… The landscapes are full of the atmosphere of early morning; neither frost nor heat emanates from them, but only fresh coolness. Light is gently dispersed through a light haze, swirling fog, raindrops. Painting Malgojata is not a storm of emotions, but calm, cozy tenderness that touches the heart and captivates to walk along forest paths and blooming meadows.
