Uijung Kim is freelance designer and illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York. Inspired by her travels, love of fashion, friends, food and teaching experience, she aims to make people feel happy through her work.
Hailing from South Korea, Kim studied Fine Art and Design at Kunsan National University. She went on to study Illustration at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Graduating in 2013, Kim worked as a design intern for various companies before becoming a freelancer. Her clients include Reader’s Digest, Scholastic and Hellmann’s. Inspired by her childhood experiences and the family and friends she grew up with her work is strongly rooted in Korean culture through colour, tone and narrative.
