Magic, legends and fabulous worlds in Stephanie Law’s watercolors

The images in the works of Stephanie Law are those that exist on the border between sleep and reality. The illustrator delves into the pictorial language of allegories and mythology, explores tiny worlds in terms of insects and highlights the natural beauty that lies in both growth and decay.

During her almost 20-year career, Stephanie Law has created a huge number of illustrations in collaboration with various publishers and game developers. She has written and illustrated three books in the Dreamscapes series dedicated to techniques and subtleties of creating watercolor illustrations for fantasy. In addition, Stephanie created a unique and very popular deck of tarot cards.
In addition to custom work, Stephanie Law continues to paint “for the soul”, drawing inspiration from mythology, legends and folklore. Her work has also been greatly influenced by Pre-Raphaelite, Impressionist and Surrealist works. Stephanie complements her watercolours with ink and sweatshirt, adds volume to her works with resin and frames them in unique, specially designed frames.
