New York City-based artist Nicolas V. Sanchez creates masterful drawings with only the aid of a few ballpoint pens, rendering unbelievably realistic portraits and still lifes in his many sketchbooks. Due to his precise application of highlights and shadows, several of his works seem three-dimensional, such as the fruit bowl seen below which looks placed on the page and not drawn.
