Paintings by American artist Samantha Keely Smith are depictions of experiences and emotions. The worrying sea on her canvases makes noise and shines with incredible shades of feelings, plunging into the depths of the subconscious.
Samantha lives and works in New York. She paints with oil, enamel, and shellac. She applies layer after layer, one tone after another, creating a real sea.
Looking at these twisting swirls one can hear the sound of waves, feel the raging tides of emotion and sink in the storm floods of feelings. These fantastic landscapes – the artist’s inner world, very bright and delicate transmitted through amazing colors and paints.
“My paintings are unrealistic and not imaginary places. They are emotional landscapes. My works on things outside of time, I think the sea is a symbol of the timeless.”
