Marian de Wit is a Dutch artist. She was born on November 29, 1951 in Amsterdam. Special education in art she has not. As an artist, Marian is self-taught.

About her work she says: “I started to learn the technique of painting Trompe L’Oeil and the first works performed in the style of photo realism. Today I write expressionistic pictures and, basically, I use color to express what I feel.

I often heard that, “You paint what you are,” and I think that’s right. You see, I’m a pop optimist, romantic and colorful person. Basically, I work in the technique of “glazing layers” with acrylic paint, and since 2012 I also use oil palette. ”
