“I enjoy taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary” – Tracy Savage

Award winning Yorkshire based artist, Tracy Savage was born in Rugby, Warwickshire in 1963. Tracy graduated from the West Surrey Institute of Art & Design in 1988.

Drawing on the UK landscape and coast for inspiration, Tracy’s much sought after paintings are bursting with subjects she finds fascinating, capturing the imagination with her dramatic, nostalgic and at times humorous style.

Her subjects vary:  nostalgic holidays past, coastal erosion, and the design of the rural landscape, each work evoking memories and atmosphere.

Tracy says:  “I enjoy taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary – tatty houses huddled together on a crumbling sea wall, once vital and industrious communities, slowly succumbing to the elements.  Such are the subjects I enjoy exploring and bringing to life.”
