Zentagle – An Unusual World Of Ornaments

Are you familiar with the technique of drawing zentangle? This artistic method was coined by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas, who subsequently protected zentangle by copyright. The essence of the technique is absolutely simple even for beginners – it consists in creating small drawings consisting of an ensemble of repeating ornaments.

Zentangle is a form of artistic meditation that helps to cut off from external stimuli. Japanese artist under the pseudonym of Mr. Riu has mastered this technique and now creates amazing zentangles and mandalas made of paper. Its weightless ornaments are created with the help of only three instruments – thick paper, a pencil and a special knife.
