For the audience who prefer only the high-quality music, we offer You to visit Shelley Nicole’s blaKbüshe concert in The Apollo Music Café. The grat perfomance will be on Friday, February 2 at 10 PM. The catchphrase of the Nicole’s show is called, “I AM AMERICAN: THE RED, WHITES & BLUES”.

What will we know about the show? Shelley Nicole — the mainspring behind Shelley Nicole’s blaKbüshe—is simultaneously a product, a witness and architect of Black-on-Black love, a calling that has informed all of her work as a singer, writer, composer, actor, poet, musician and a healer.  It is the tap root of her latest work, “I Am American”, a collection of songs written by her and produced by award-winning guitarist, composer and producer Vernon Reid of the band Living Colour.

“I Am American”, the third blaKbüshe release, is Shelley’s sonically and topically valiant mission statement of self-empowerment, self-determination, self-love and self-care.

Shelley Nicole is an Independent Artist and leader of the band Shelley Nicole’s blaKbüshe. She calls her sound SolaRoc, which is a blend of rock, funk and soul. But Shelley has also been known to pull in a bit of blues and whatever else feels good. In 2003 artist released the first album She Who Bleeds… on the Red Butterfly Music label with a lot of prayer and help from her friends and family. In 2008 Nicole recorded a live album at Southpaw in Brooklyn, NY during the U People, Brooklyn Pride celebration. A year later the band released that recording called The Quick & Dirty EP; again on her own with friends adding remixes, vocals and lending studio time.

The Apollo Music Café series is designed to bring independent, cutting-edge artists to a forward-thinking audience. Featuring diverse performances across a myriad of genres (R&B, hip hop, soul, jazz, pop, funk, and rock), this monthly series showcases artists drawn from the independent music scene who are destined to impact the way music is heard and experienced. Certain Music Café presentations will complement Apollo Music Mainstage events such as Africa Now! and the Harlem Jazz Shrines Festival.

We, usaARTnews, hope You to have been intrested this concert and totally attend!
