Extreme Knitting with Jacqui Fink

Jacqui is a crafter of oversized hand knitted textiles, soft furnishings and installations using naturally coloured high quality merino wools and other natural fibres from Australia and New Zealand.

Underpinned by Jacqui’s love of extreme scale, her creations represent as much a physical challenge as a loving creative exercise. Pushing the boundaries of possibility is a huge driver for Jacqui. Largely self-taught, Jacqui considers Little Dandelion as her quiet rebellion against mindless mass production, and standardisation as well as being her loving contribution to a kinder and more conscientious world.

Each of Jacqui’s creations is a one of a kind: something very personal for the user, lusciously tactile to the touch, highly textural by nature and meticulous in its construction. This is slow craft in its truest sense.

Jacqui currently collaborates with online homewares retailer Temple & Webster to curate their Handmade Market Series and is developing a Little Dandelion oversized knitting yarn so that others can experience the joy of slow craft and this rather unusual method of knitting.
