Sculptures of Thousands Thinnest Layers – Paper. Creations by Charles Clary

An artist from the American state of Tennessee, Charles Clary has a truly angelic patience – he can work on his projects for 12 hours a day. And every minute of this time from him requires a maximum of concentration and a maximum of precise movements. Only seeing the creation of Charles, you can understand how hard work he does. The artist creates from the paper original structural figures that resemble a volumetric topographic map or a model of microorganisms. It is difficult to imagine how many thin paper layers are required to create one figure, and even more difficult – how neatly each of them should be cut and overlaid on top.

Recently, the work of Charles was presented at the exhibition in the gallery of Brett Wesley Gallery. And you can see everything in detail here in the photos below.
