The distorted protagonists of her collages are people, sometimes animals or objects. She varies her style from extending body parts to a degree of total deformation to imploding heads that seem to consist of hundreds of glass shards.
Some of her works look like those of a portrait-photographer-gone-mad, while others embrace nudity. Eventually, nobody can escape Lola’s scissor hands, not even historic figures like Einstein, Darwin or Napoleon Bonaparte.
At the moment Lola Dupré is working out of Ireland. She is represented by L.A.-based CES Gallery. Her focus are exhibitions and editorial projects.
