All You Should Know About Frieze Los Angeles

Frieze Los Angeles is the leading international art fair. It is dedicated to the place of Los Angeles in the world landscape of contemporary art. The Frieze art fair Los Angeles started with a sold-out first print run in 2019 and built on that success the following year. In 2021, the event did not take place due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But in 2022, the event was back bigger and bolder. More than 100 local and international galleries participated in it.

Frieze Los Angeles’ location is art.

A special building was commissioned to house the galleries. This year it was conveniently located between two Beverly Hills cultural attractions: the Hammer Museum and the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. This “tent” was designed by Los Angeles-based architect Kulapat Yantrasast, creative director of WHY Architecture, and the firm’s landscape director, Mark Toman. In itself, it was a statement.

Frieze art fair Los Angeles brings more than 100 of the world’s leading art galleries together.

Its selection of major galleries from around the world includes Los Angeles-based exhibitors representing the best of the local scene: Blum & Poe, The Box, Château Shatto, Commonwealth and Council, Jeffrey Deitch, Kayne Griffin, David Kordansky Gallery, and Regen Projects.
