Alice Rosati is a fashion photographer and art director from Milan, whose portfolio includes shooting for Ukrainian Vogue, Vogue Czechoslovakia, Vogue Hong Kong, Valentino, Miu Miu, Nike. In January in Paris, there will be a presentation of her book I am a mermaid – a luxurious photo album in which Alice Rosati reflects on sexuality and sensuality through a series of polaroid shots.
In the accompanying text to the book, the photographer writes: “A mermaid is an archetypical image that represents a woman who feels comfortable in the deep waters of life, in the wave of emotions and sexuality. It shows us how to accept our sexuality and sensuality. It symbolizes the connection with our deepest, most instinctive feelings, wildest, primordial, untamed nature.
The book ‘I am a mermaid’ is the result of 5 years’ work by Alice. The shooting took place in hotels and seaside, on the streets of Paris and in nightclubs. Alice Rosati’s solo exhibition dedicated to the book will be held in Charraudeau Gallery in Paris from January 25 to February 4.
