Kendall Jenner showed her collection of contemporary art

During this time, she has piled up an impressive collection of contemporary art. The celebrity showed it to the public in the August issue of Architectural Digest.

Jenner considers the wall-mounted Scorpius, Medium Elliptical Glass (2019) by James Turrell, the main source of pride in her collection. She appeared with it on the magazine’s cover. A spokesperson for the Pace Gallery confirmed that Jenner acquired the work at the Frieze Los Angeles fair earlier this year. Then, the work was estimated at $ 75 thousand.

It looks like Jenner also took the liberty of finalizing the artist’s work. Although the work was shown horizontally in the fair’s catalog, it was installed vertically in her house. The gallery notes that Terrell’s work is sold precisely as horizontal or vertical ellipses and usually cannot be reoriented, but items from this series can be installed in any direction as the collector wishes.

The mansion, which now houses the Jenner collection, was bought by the 24-year-old model in October 2017 for $ 8.55 million. Several specialists were involved in decorating and designing the interiors of the house while her personal art consultant Meredith Darrow is engaged in the collection of Kendall Jenner’s art objects.

Obviously, with their submission, the space of the house is actively filled with numerous works of modern art, including the neon sculpture of Tracy Emin, located above the fireplace in the bedroom, a photograph by Lauren Greenfield, works by Barbara Kruger, Richard Prince, Raymond Pettibon, and Sterling Ruby.

However, according to sources, Kendall doesn’t just mark names on the list or blindly follow the advice of a consultant. She chooses things that mean something to her, things to which she has an inner reaction. Kendall Jenner does not claim any artistic talent but considers art to be a great form of therapy.
