Paris Hilton became an artist

Self-portrait of Paris called “I Dream of Paris” was recently exhibited at Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles as part of the curatorial project Sweet Sixteen. In addition to the exhibition, this work was announced as a lot of charity auction. According to the terms of sale, along with the artwork, the buyer had the opportunity to share a dinner with Hilton at her home. According to recent data, the work was sold for more than $ 50 thousand. Quite good for a novice artist.

According to Paris, she has had a penchant for philanthropy since childhood and it is important for her to contribute to society. “I am proud to have created this beautiful work of art that will help raise money for the Starlight Foundation for children,” she said in an interview with Forbes magazine. As for the visual arts, which nobody knew about until last April, Paris says she has “been an artist since childhood” and has made it a must in every home she has set up an art studio because this way of expressing herself is very important to her.

Among her sources of inspiration, Hilton names artists such as Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Takashi Murakami, KAWS, I Wavey, Olivia Steele and Salvador Dali. She prefers the music of Katy Perry, Rufus du Sole and Coldplay as the background music for her paintings. And her favourite place to buy art materials (“a place to find the best shiny things!”) is the Etsy website. Hilton’s own art collection, which includes works by pop artists and Young British Artist, helps develop her artistic taste. “Andy Warhol, Takashi Murakami, Damien Hirst, Alex Israel, David Lashapel,” she lists some of the artists from her collection.

Whether she plans to enter the art scene fully as an author or to limit herself to charity projects is unknown. In any case, for her, as well as for other novice artists, on our site can be useful materials to promote artists.
