Price Check! Here’s What Sold—and for How Much—at the 2022 Armory Show in New York

After the premiere of Frieze Seoul earlier this month, all eyes turned to New York, where the Armory Show staged its 28th edition. With more than 42,000 visitors flocking to see 240 exhibitors for the fair’s second-ever outing at its new Javits Center location, executive director Nicole Berry said, “I feel like this is our proper debut.”

Although there were rumblings of seven-figure sales, the majority of listed and reported prices fell far below that threshold. That didn’t stop celebrities and art-world A-listers ranging from Paul Rudd to Hank Willis Thomas and Russel Tovey from perusing the booths, and many galleries reported institutional purchases.

Here is our roundup of the prices galleries chose to share with us. As always, note that some dealers pad their prices (or even make them up) and others withhold figures altogether. All prices have been converted to USD for ease of reading, and we do not include sales unaccompanied by prices.
