Whitney Museum can be opened for visitors in September

The Whitney Museum of American Art announced plans to resume work after quarantine. The museum in New York is one of the last major cultural institutions in the U.S., which still remains closed after restrictions due to the pandemic. Whitney’s management now plans to receive its first visitors on September 3.

In the first months, the museum will work no more than twenty-five percent of its potential. The management has taken this measure to ensure the proper distance between visitors. You can get to the museum only with pre-purchased tickets on the Whitney website.

New security measures taken throughout the building include improved disinfection and cleaning procedures, modern air filtration systems, one-way signs, and ground markings. According to city and government regulations, all employees, volunteers, and visitors will be required to wear masks and maintain distance.
