Fantasy and Surrealism in Beautiful Female Portraits of Zhang Jingna

Every day, the world around us is throwing new challenges to art. And the answer does not make you wait – there will always be bold talents ready to experiment. Thus, two modern American artists created a project called ‘Motherland Chronicles’.

New York photographer Zhang Jingna, who is better known under the pseudonym Zemotion, and Californian illustrator Tobias Kwan, working under the pseudonym Tobee, jointly decided to participate in the “art race”. Today, most of these projects involve the creation of works of art at a predetermined time. And the theme of the work is limited only by the imagination of the artists themselves. This was the beginning of work on the cycle of photographs of the “Chronicles of the Motherland”.
The works of Zang and Toby are gentle feminine images, illustrations and photographs of girls and women, full of mysterious beauty with a touch of surrealism. Unlimited craftsmanship and a sense of taste – that’s what distinguishes the works of Zang and Toby. They want to look at and get aesthetic pleasure. And it is certainly impossible to think that every illustration of a girl or a woman was the fruit of a week’s work!

Who said that contemporary art can not surprise? The illustrations of two contemporary young American artists Zang Zhingna and Toby Kuon are direct proof of the opposite!
