“Once in Kazimierz” is a series of photographs telling the story of the Jewish family from Poland in the 1930s. Dark shadows, abundantly present in the works of Richard, indicate the inevitability of fate, which will necessarily overtake the characters of photos of Tushman’s paintings. His series of images are conceived as a visual novel, where each picture is the result of a laborious process: made by various life-size dioramas, plausible costumes and interior details, helped the photographer to achieve new heights in the production photography.
