Three Stones – Kalakmul

THREE STONES — a film about a wanderer who’s perspective is constantly shifting through various phases of lucid dreaming. As the film progresses from the calmness of lush greenery in the Japanese countryside to the electrifying night scenes of Tokyo, the wanderer’s extraordinary yet graceful movement synchronises with the airy atmospheric track and its textures and ethnic rhythms.

“Three Stones” is a self-funded production driven by the passion and creativity of a unique group of people. The female aerialist featured in the film is Maika Isogawa, who up until recently was on tour with Totem for Cirque du Soleil. The video is produced by Strategy Set, an award-winning international production and creative agency based in Australia and Japan.

The art director, Marek Okon, is a Tokyo-based independent creative who previously worked for Wieden+Kennedy Tokyo on brands such as Nike, Spotify, and Sony. The music was produced by Kalakmul, a psychedelic dub DJ and music producer based in rural Chiba, Japan. The film was colour graded by Toshiki Kamei, currently a colourist at Cutters Tokyo.
