Minimalistic Painting By Paul Stone

Today on the agenda of minimalist painting from the American artist Paul Stone. Paul Stone will surprise us with large shapes, soaked in light and color. The unique manner of writing allows to identify author’s works from many similar, but far from the same.

From the artist’s biography little is known. He was born in Westminster, USA, Vermont. He was interested in painting since childhood, so the experience of forty years speaks about his competence and professionalism. He graduated from Dartmouth College and Tufts University. Today he likes to draw landscapes of his native state, as well as bright images of the coast of Maine. On the artist’s canvases, barns and sailboats are often drawn, framed by bright light forms through the technique of large strokes.

Sketches of future paintings appear in the open air, but the overwhelming majority of “composes” immediately in the studio. Thanks to a cozy studio environment, Paul is easier to concentrate on the visual effect. Paintings, as a rule, are oily, but there are watercolor copies. All this good is “scattered” around the globe, preserved in private and corporate collections. In several galleries pcs. Vermont and Maine are also permanent exposition-sales.

Like many creative personalities, the artist is inspired by the environment – nature, people. Based on personal life experience and respect for the world around him, he fills the space with half-hidden messages that speak for themselves. To delve into a particular place, sometimes an artist appeals for help to people, but sometimes, it’s simply not necessary, because you can ask directly from nature itself.
