The visual thread that passes through the work of Ingrid – images of the human body, which have been the subject of artists’ attention since the dawn of art.
Ingrid Bugge is a multi-media artist living in Copenhagen, Denmark, working mainly in photography, but also video and installations. Ingrid Bugge uses his camera as a tool for exploring the world around him.
Since 2006, she has been testing the boundaries of intimacy and human knowledge, nature and emotions. Often, focusing on the body, Bagge tries to explore the themes of sensuality, movement, passion and authenticity, conveying a fabulous feeling of excitement and weightlessness. However, instead of simply tracking reality, Ingrid Bugg interprets it and reproduces it as it sees it. Ideas borrowed from masters of the Renaissance, in her performance go far beyond the classics.
The visual thread that passes through the work of Ingrid – images of the human body, which have been the subject of attention of artists since the dawn of art. Nevertheless, in their unique ways, the Buggies provide an opportunity to look at it in a new way. Like anatomists, Renaissance artists, Ingrid examines the physiology of the human body, but in order to uncover some of his wider, deeper thoughts through him.
