REFLECTIONS OF A GREATER REALM
Group Replication
– Launched March 25th, 2026
– Featuring 25 artists and 37 works
About the Exhibition
Reflections of a Greater Realm invites viewers into a world of ubiquitous beauty, lands both intimate and imagined, shaped by wonder and delicate destabilization. Featuring 25 artists and 37 works, the exhibition brings together tactile, abstracted visual languages that evoke dreamlike scenarios and nostalgic atmospheres. Across painting, sculpture, and mixed media, artists draw upon Baroque, Rococo, and Surrealist traditions while reinterpreting them through contemporary perspectives.
At its core, the exhibition interrogates the value of wonder: must we journey into the unfamiliar to rediscover enchantment, or can the extraordinary emerge from the overlooked details of everyday life? Eerie beauty threads throughout the works, unsettling perception and encouraging viewers to reconsider the reliability of their own sensory experiences.
Color emerges as both presence and absence: a force that amplifies emotion and illusion. Vibrant palettes coexist with restraint and moments of silence, fueling curiosity and reflection. Together, these works propose an expanded realm of seeing, where tenderness meets strangeness and imagination unfolds in unexpected ways.
From the Curators
In art history, painting has been seen as a window or mirror that reflects a reality close to that of the viewer. It served the purpose of representing what was observed in the ‘outside’ world. Art had a purpose, whether imperial, religious, or otherwise, and it was not until the 18th-19th century, during the transition from Baroque to Romanticism, that art became more independent. Originating in France, the phrase “art for art’s sake” paved the way for a philosophy grounded in the belief that art should exist independently of utilitarian functions or social values.
The exhibition, “Reflections of a Greater Realm”, moves beyond viewing art solely as a window and explores the subtleties of seeing it as a mirror. Within this exhibition, the mirror is no longer a passive object but a gateway, a threshold between the real and surreal, the ordinary and the enchanted, truth and lies. “Reflection of a Greater Realm” invites visitors into a world shaped by fantasy, mythology, and illusion, where perception bends, time fractures, and the boundaries between the real and the imagined dissolve.
The blurring of reality enables this exhibition of 25 artists to compare and contrast techniques, mediums, and subject matters, while avoiding the assertion of an absolute truth. This exhibition functions as a survey of contemporary artists and the directions their work inspires. The show’s curatorial approach offers a variety of perspectives that explore the spectrum of possibilities, while presenting works where these opposing ends converge. Evaluating one concept firmly and then presenting a polarizing viewpoint strengthens both works, ideas, or themes. This exhibition provides viewers with the opportunity to explore many different areas while connecting with the mirror as a conduit or alternative.
