Price Check! Here’s What Sold—and For How Much—at Frieze London 2022

Any fears that the 2022 edition of Frieze London would be outshone by the forthcoming debut of the new fair Paris+ were silenced last week.

The fair kicked off with jam-packed VIP openings at Frieze London, while Frieze Masters enjoyed its usual less-frenetic atmosphere. At both tents, collectors were scooping up abstract canvases and ceramics, likely cashing in on the newly robust dollar, which some said equated to a 20 percent discount (though that doesn’t make up for the rampant inflation still plaguing those stateside).
