I wrote it out already in a recent Wet Paint: anyone who is knows that Amanita is the hottest new gallery on the block. Its most recent show, “Works On Paper: 100 Years” features 100 drawings made by a litany of every artist you’ve ever loved, and its opening was the unofficial kick off to summer. To commemorate the event, I asked one of the gallery’s founders, Caio Twombly (grandson of Cy Twombly, heard of him?), to show us what the week surrounding the opening was like.

Take it away, Caio!

Night prior to opening at Amanita, symposium at Phong Bui’s dojo. One of the Brooklyn nights to remember.

Phong’s platoon united, no man left behind.

My sister Maia tending the bar at our opening. I love her so much!

Maia and Cy post-opening. The days are slow and the years are fast…

‘Tis night now, all fountains speak louder. Afterparty at Night Moves, Brooklyn, USA.

One more glass of wine to our remaining happiness, thank you to all readers that made it this far.
