The work of Filipino artist Patrick Cabral is not limited to work in one area. At the age of 11, he discovered a passion for calligraphy, but when he got older, Patrick began to build a career in the digital world as an animator and web programmer. Along with this, he creates inspirational multi-layer portraits of animals made of paper, decorated with exquisite lace motifs. A series of portraits includes living creatures from around the world. Although they differ in species, all of them are united by one sad factor: each species of these animals is under threat of extinction. Complex and intricate patterns are chosen by the artist not by chance: fragile designs of works reflect the real fate of these animals, which hangs literally in the balance. To contribute to the preservation of these amazing creatures, Patrick Cabral sells his work on the Internet. 50% of the proceeds go to the World Wildlife Fund in the Philippines.
