Behind the Gardens: Drawings by Neda Vent Fischer

Pencil drawings of dark, foreboding forest scenes by Paris-based photographer/illustrator Neda Vent Fischer.

Originally from Yugoslavia, Fischer is known more for her photography and the various techniques she uses to add a surrealistic look to them. Most of her photographs have a motion blur effect and she leaves it to the viewer to figure out her techniques.

Although these drawings are a departure from her past work, Fischer has shown that she is also adept at illustration—managing to capture the look and feel of an ominous forest you probably would try to avoid.

Neda Vent Fischer is a Yugoslavian-born photographer who spends her time between Paris and Belgrade, and the work presented in this post was taken between these two cities.
